How long has it been since you've been on a walk in nature? When I had my daughter I was so overwhelmed with motherhood, I had little time for walks. The crying, the feeding, the incessant need for her to be with me, left me drained.
However, looking back...what I needed most was the inspiration and energy I received when I did go for walks. It was part of my life for many years and to give it up probably helped the overwhelming feelings grow instead of dissipating. I am the type of person who needs to see the sunrise and sunset...a red bird fly by, a rainbow, feel the wind blow my hair, see the trees budding or turning colors... when I walk I hear, see, and feel in ways I can't in my office. I have a deep appreciation for nature and what it can do for my connection to my own soul.
When was the last time you noticed the patterns of the clouds or the dew on the grass? When was the last time you watched a butterfly flutter around? How long has it been since you've seen a baby bird? Have you seen the moon lately?
Take care of yourself by including nature into your busy life...see what happens when you reconnect to the simple things that bring great pleasure. If you want to flourish take a little time each day to get your inspiration from nature!!!
